Objectives:

• Advance Sustainable Resource Management: Engage diverse stakeholders to promote responsible natural resource use, biodiversity and wildlife conservation, ecosystem restoration, collaborative forest stewardship, and climate action.
• Promote Applied Research and Policy Development: Expand knowledge to design effective strategies, plans, and policies for resource management, forest and wetland governance, ecosystem conservation, climate resilience, and the environment–development nexus.
• Facilitate Knowledge Sharing and Innovation: Strengthen understanding of the climate crisis, conservation priorities, ecological processes, pollution control, and devise sustainable management tools through action-oriented research and exchange.
• Implement Responsible and Inclusive Solutions: Support approaches that ease pressure on natural resources, foster sustainable economic growth, urban resilience, diversified livelihoods, and innovative climate adaptation and mitigation, while ensuring sound governance at all levels.
• Promote Social Inclusion, Equity, and Justice: Empower vulnerable groups—including women, youth, and ethnic communities—to actively engage in conservation, resource management, environmental integrity, health, education, skills development, livelihood improvement, and protection of human rights.
• Raise Awareness and Build Capacity: Equip policymakers, communities, youth, women, ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and the private sector to act on natural resource management, climate change, and sustainable development, ensuring environmental and social safeguards.
